The Accounting / Finance Intern will be responsible for assisting the Accounting / Finance Department in day to day operations and projects that support the Department in making operating and policy decisions. We are looking for a responsible, driven, creative individual who would like to gain experience in finance industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the Accounting / Finance Department in all areas. Duties would include, but not limited to:
Assist in month-end close processes such as preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist in performing reviews for adherence to existing Departmental policies and procedures.
Assist in long-term cash flow projections.
Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes.
Reconcile existing fixed assets to the fixed asset register for each entity.
Provide team support for ad hoc projects such as flash reporting dashboards for management and event analysis.
Provide administrative support to the Accounting / Finance Department.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Must have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task, while keeping a calm demeanor in a fast paced environment.
Exceptional organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once.
Must be a team player and goal oriented.
Be currently enrolled as a senior or recent graduate (within 6 months) from college or university.
Graduate school students are eligible to apply as well.
Be majoring in Accounting or Finance or have a degree in Accounting or Finance.
Have authorization to work in the U.S.
Be able to work 30 hours per week.
