Description
The Team Assistant is a qualified person who assists in the coordination of Agency services and office activities. He/she functions under the direction of the Clinical Manager and may perform office support activities for multiple departments.


DUTIES:

Assists the Clinical Manager in care coordination of patient services.
Serves as a liaison between the Organization, referral sources, patients and Agency personnel.
Ensure all physician orders have appropriate physician signatures and are processed within 30 days.
Coordinates and process orders for Durable Medical Equipment.
Prepare ADR files for Clinical Manager review.
Maintains efficient workflow by utilizing effective organizational skills and follows reporting procedures.
Participates in the QAPI program as directed by the Agency Administrator and/or Clinical Manager.
Provides quality customer service to patients and medical providers.
Responsible for answering telephones, taking accurate messages with a high degree of confidentiality.
Oversees maintenance of accurate record system, evaluates effectiveness and recommends appropriate modifications.
Responsible for filing within the Agency. Uses a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality when filing in patient and personnel records.
Assists in receiving, inventorying, and storing of office and medical supplies. Facilitate signing in/out supplies to appropriate personnel.
Promotes an effective system of communication throughout the Agency.
Prepares periodic reports as requested by the Agency Administrator.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Agency Administrator.

CRITICAL DEMANDS

Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication.
Ability to perform tasks involving physical activities, which may include heavy lifting.
Ability to plan, organize, and deal effectively with time sensitive tasks.
Ability to take direction from multiple management personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Education or equivalent, college degree preferred.
Has basic understanding of general office functioning.
Ability to type at least 30 WPM.
General understanding of personnel policies and processes preferred.
