GENERAL PURPOSE: Oversee the administration of the Association’s time and attendance and payroll systems; responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related services; enforce procedures, train staff and ensure regulatory compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Complete Personal Action Forms including but not limited to years of service, change in employment, status change, transfers and promotions.
Assists in processing payroll timely and accurately when the Payroll Administrator is absent.
Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports.
Research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities.
Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity.
Communicate & educate/train relevant staff to ensure compliance & prompt resolution of issues.
Experience with Paycom preferred.
Knowledge of Human Resource employment law and best practices.
Represent the YMCA in a positive manner.
Ensure compliance to established procedures, policies, safety standards and housekeeping standards.
Maintain open communication with the leadership, related staff, volunteers and participants significant others and applicable community members
Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Certifications: High school diploma and 2 years of college required (or equivalent work experience), 4 year college degree preferred.

Experience & Background: 2-years of experience in payroll, additional experience may off-set a portion of the educational requirement. Knowledge of payroll and human resources practices and principles, state and federal employment laws relating to areas of responsibility. Ability to handle multiple assignments, working knowledge of Windows-based software, excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work with confidential information required.
