Outside Sales Representative

Outside Sales Representative for a Dallas-based Manufacturer’s Rep Agency to be responsible for the Houston area. Koelling & Associates, Inc. represents Manufacturers of Industrial Power Transmission equipment, specializing in the food and beverage industry as well as Oil and Gas. The equipment also provides solutions for forestry and water-treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will have consultative sales experience, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters for our Customers (End-user and OEM).
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Forecast and track key accounts.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure growth of client base.
Maintain existing customers by introducing new products and services.
Identify and develop new customer sales.
Follow up on inbound and factory leads and provide outcomes of contact.
Deliver sales presentations and demonstrations on products and services.
Survey facilities and develop proposals for solutions.
Provide follow-up on proposals and initiate changes as required to close orders.
Account management and new business development.
Maintain accurate reports and database records of customer contacts/activities.
Use your own vehicle to travel to planned, regular locations throughout your territory.
Recognize customer needs, deliver appropriate solutions to increase their productivity while decreasing their costs and resolve any issues to ensure that customers are satisfied.
Identify target prospects and creating strategic action plans to turn prospects into customers.
Assisting customers with product application surveys and changeover needs.
Performing networking and prospecting tasks of your own.
Pursuing knowledge of your territory, market and competitors.
Participate in company-sponsored sales and technical training sessions.
Qualifications/Experience: Professionalism, Problem-solving ability, Can-do attitude to deliver the level of service clients have come to expect. Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting activities, Willingness to travel, Strong moral character and entrepreneurial spirit. Strong written and oral communication, writing, math, time-management and organizational skills and strong presentation skills. Previous experience working from a home office or out in the field daily. Skilled in territory management, able to organize a sales strategy. Capacity to comprehend and relay technical information. Ability to think creatively about problem-solving issues
