Medical Assistant

Holistique Naturopathic Medical Center, an integrative, state-of-the-art naturopathic clinic located in the heart of Bellevue, is looking for a professional, experienced, full-time Medical Assistant to join our amazing team. We are a well-established, highly reputable, hard-working naturopathic clinic with 7 Licensed Naturopathic doctors as well as other providers providing cutting-edge holistic patient care. We are looking for someone who thrives in a very busy, fast-paced clinic setting.
The qualified Medical Assistant applicant must be highly professional, fast-paced, flexible, able to multi-task under pressure, self-motivated, critical thinker, quick learner, and have a sharp sense of responsiveness to patients and team members in order to keep all operations flowing consistently. You must be very passionate about health and lead a positive, healthy lifestyle. Due to patient allergies, this is a non-smoking position and includes not living in a home with other smokers.

Requirements include but not limited to:
*Greet patients and escort them from the waiting room to exam rooms.
*Check vitals and update patient history and chart with relevant medical info.
*Clean, organize and restock exam rooms, prepares exam and treatment rooms for patient visits and procedures.
*Ability to learn and facilitate all services applicable to the clinic.
*Assist physicians in patient examinations and/or minor procedures, monitors IV’s.
*Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
*Disposes of contaminated items according to OSHA guidelines.
*Performs patient education when appropriate. Responds to patient questions, messages, and emails.
*Follows up on lab reports and coordinates follow up patient scheduling.
*Has experience with EMR. Writes medical necessity letters.
*Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines.
*Keeps updated CPR, OSHA, HIPPA and CLIA certifications.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The qualified applicant MUST have:
*High school degree or higher.
*Current WA State MA certificate.
*CPR certification.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
*Familiarity with Naturopathic medicine is a plus.
*At least one year of experience in a clinical setting.
*Proficient in using email and interacting with Internet applications.
*Knowledge of practice management EMR and word processing software.
*Working knowledge of managed care basics.
*Great communication skills.
*Professional appearance.

The clinic is open from 8:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Friday. Option to take Fridays off.
