Low Voltage Technician

Parking Guidance Systems LLC installs parking assistance systems in major packing facilities. All devices used are low voltage and operate on either Ethernet or RS485/422 networks. PGS is seeking a service technician who can be trained to service new and existing customers in Kissimmee FL & surrounding area.
Your role will be to provide maintenance and installation service to our clients. Primarily looking after key customers, but with the flexibility “jump in” when necessary to assist with ongoing projects that may be occurring.
You must be able to work flexible hours. The position is full time (1099) but is also extremely flexible with hours. We are focused on getting the job done, not that you be there 8-5. The role requires a person with a mature outlook that can work independently and unsupervised and can complete tasks as they present themselves.
The role includes some interface with customers and their key people. As a result, the person should have excellent communications skills including speaking, writing, and problem solving. These same attributes are required to ensure communication flows through to management to ensure no issues are left unresolved.
Available to travel as required. While most tasks will be local, there may be opportunities to travel around the USA for the right person.
Drug screening required. You must hold a valid drivers license. No criminal record. A background check is mandatory for the role.
Basic computer skills such as Word, Excel and PDF required.
The following skills are not required but could be advantageous for future growth:
Ability to use CAD or other drawing programs.
Ability to create network drawings.
Ability to create Gantt charts using Microsoft project.
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders. Demonstrate good dexterity including the ability to terminate cables. Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
Education/Experience:
Any of the below would be advantageous.
Electrical - low voltage and 120v.
IT/computer hardware installation or maintenance.
Technical school
Experience maintaining IT, electronic equipment, fire systems or alarm systems.
Working knowledge of networks including:
Ethernet
Serial - RS422 & RS485
