Lead Teacher

I am looking for a certified teacher who likes a challenge! We are a Nurtured Heart School and we divide our students by ability not necessarily by grades. We indulge heavily in both project based learning and experiential learning. The position is for a lead teacher in our upper elementary classroom which houses 3 - 5 grade students. We are not a school that uses worksheets, we prefer Socratic discussion circles, student lead instruction and hands on 'real life' experiences. Our curriculum is eclectic and based on the needs of the students we teach and lead. The challenges in this position are not for the weak or meek! I am looking for a strong academic leader who understands the needs of the 21st century learner and is ready to be coached to implement a strong learning environment. We have an incredible culture at our school and my current teachers are uplifting, enthusiastic, patience, calm and feel as though we are all part of a very happy family.
