Good Shepherd School for Children has an opening for a full time Lead Teacher to join our incredible team. Good Shepherd is Licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We offer care for children 6 weeks to 6 years and follow the Creative Curriculum. Must be flexible to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am-6pm. We provide care for children with special needs and those that are typically developing in an inclusive setting. Being part of an inclusive educational setting, the teacher involves all children in appropriate classroom activities, regardless of their abilities.
Lead Teacher Responsibilities Include:
*create and implement lesson plans
*supervise children in the classroom and on the playground
*monitor student progress through evaluations and provide parent/teacher conferences
*provide an environment to support and enhance social/emotional learning
*communicate professionally and considerately with parents and coworkers
*maintain accurate feeding, nap and diaper schedules
*follow guidelines to ensure all areas of the classroom, including toys, are clean to State Licensing and Good Shepherd standards.
*be punctual and maintain good attendance
*maintain a neat and clean appearance
Qualifications Include: experience working with children, ability to relate to children with special needs and those that are typically developing. Must demonstrate positive, caring, loving personal qualities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Special Education
Required experience working with children:
• Lead Teacher: 2 years
