Sandwich Montessori School is growing and we are seeking high caliber teachers to join our team.
You love babies, you love being outdoors, and you want to be part of the team providing an excellent Montessori education. You love to learn, and want to add to your skill set every single day. You want to work in a place that feels peaceful as you pull into the driveway, and you are always reliable. As a member of our team, you love to be outside, rain or shine, and you are excited about having the opportunity to deepen your students connection with nature. You are positive, kind, and loving, and want to work with other people who have a great outlook on the world and who want to make every day a great day for their students and themselves.
As the infant teacher, you will follow the child on his or her schedule, sing lots of songs, love to read aloud, and be interested in learning and teaching basic sign language. You will be supported in building a language-rich environment, and you see every interaction as a part of the curriculum where you can inject learning through conversation, model, and build a safe and loving environment for our babies to learn and grow in each day. Observation is key to ensuring success of each student and you will communicate daily with families, both in writing, and verbally during face-to-face interactions. We are an active community and there will be times when you will participate in events that bring our current families, or other community members to campus to enjoy, learn, and play at our school.
We prefer Montessori training, or experience, and if you are not trained, you will be expected to happily gain insight about Montessori as part of your professional development plan and love of learning. You must be EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher Certified.
You must also be prepared to develop meaningful and lasting bonds with your students, because within seconds, they are going to make an impression on your heart that is everlasting!
