OVERVIEW



Hendall Inc. has a requirement for a Junior Training Content Writer on a multi-year training development contract to help produce online training and other content for a large government healthcare agency. The successful candidate will have proven writing skills, be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, manage his or her assigned tasks in various stages of development, and collaborate with an instructional design team and subject matter experts to produce clear, concise training products that are appropriate for the intended audience. The candidate will provide at least two recent writing samples and take a writing test as part of the consideration process.



DUTIES



As a Junior content writer assigned to the training development team, you will:
•Assist with writing training content as a member of a team of instructional designers, graphic artists, programmers, other content writers, editors, and documentation specialists to create online training products that adhere to the instructional systems design process.
•Help collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) from healthcare fields to create technical training content. Content must meet instructional objectives and be written to a level appropriate to the target audience.
•Provide feedback on the organization, design, interactions, graphics, and evaluation components of training products as they are being developed.
•Help draft storyboards from narrative content, applying conventions developed by the training team.
•Assist with crafting scripts for video projects.
•Test online trainings to ensure functionality.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in English or related field, or combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office Suite and SharePoint.
•Ability to work within a large training development team in a deadline-driven environment.
•Information technology experience a plus.
