We are looking for reliable, hard-working, and fun-loving teachers for our family run infant/toddler center.
We have been in the community for over 20 years and we absolutely love what we do. Our ideal candidates will share the same passion for early childhood education and will be working in an environment where individuality will shine.
This role will include several tasks including:
-Prepares daily activities such as but not limited to, art and crafts projects, reading, writing, dancing, teaching the alphabet, numbers, and colors.
-Is familiar with emergency procedures and protocol; responds in emergency situations and is able to carry a child or two if needed.
-Serves nutritious snacks and lunches.
-Talks with parents about behavioral ups and downs.
-Changes diapers, and performs other sanitary needs as required for the children.
-Develops activities to stimulate the children.
-Establishes policies and procedures for inside and outside the classroom.
-Cleans and sterilizes equipment and toys daily.
-Provides weekly schedules for children and parents.
-Ensures cupboards are locked and cleaning supplies out of reach.
-Supervises children at all times.
-Comforts children in times of need.
-Encourages children with expressions and hugs.
-Discusses development with parents.
-Identifies problems and convene with professionals if necessary.
-Participates in fundraising for the school.
-Promotes literacy and early education.
-Performs other duties as needed.
Required work experience: Ideally, the candidate will have some experience in the childcare field, but reliability and work-ethic are even more important.
Education: 12 core early childhood education units completed.
