Essential Job Function:

To assist the development department and agency with maintaining the development infrastructure, which includes website, social media accounts, database; etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Provide administrative support for the development office such as the production of correspondence, responding to incoming phone calls, managing mail, filing systems, and generating daily and monthly status reports, and maintaining office equipment and supplies.

-Database Manager: Update and maintain donor database. Generate, maintain, and report on donation records, fundraising income, special event revenue, raffle revenue and provide administrative support.

-Gift Acknowledgement: Accepts and acknowledges all collectible donations made to the agency, cash, credit, in-kind donations, and gifts and reconciles with accounting records.

-Record-Keeping: create and maintain accurate records for special projects and events, e.g., Auction, Raffle, Gala, fundraising parties, etc.

-Special Events Coordinator: Support Special event Chair and committee to plan, organize and oversee all aspects of an annual gala event including budget management and planning, sponsorship acquisition, site coordination, live and silent auction prizes, press, and publicity including invitations and programs, and related mailings.

-Newsletter Editor: Responsible for coordinating production, content, design, and mailing of the tri-annual newsletter, as editor her/his role is to work with the Development Director to plan and coordinate newsletter content, set print and mailing deadlines, write and edit articles, take photographs, create donor acknowledgment lists, work closely with a graphic designer and printing house on layout and design and coordinate mailing through a mailing house.

-Assist with creation and production of publicity-related materials, such as business cards, gift receipt cards, press releases, brochures, flyers, posters, display boards for special projects, etc.

-Manage direct mailings and solicitations.

-Track the status of grant applications/ awards/ and progress.

-Assist in the development of annual fundraising goals.

-Assist in preparing for Development Committee meetings.

-Maintain agency’s website and all social media accounts with frequently updated content (weekly)


Job Standards:

-Possession of a valid California Drivers license
Excellent communication abilities, including computer, verbal and writing skills.

-Demonstrate initiative tact and independent judgment

-Ability to work in a team environment or without supervision.

Essential Qualifications:

-AA degree or BA/BS Degree

-Office 365 knowledge

-Knowledge of Fundraising Databases

-Experience working in nonprofit organizations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Endurance Moving About:

Frequently, approximately 1/3-30 % to 2/3-60% of the work period. Move from location to location as required by program needs, within the facility, and in the community.
Specific Examples Include but are not limited to Outside facility: Walking inside the facility: walk up and downstairs.

Overall Strength: Some sedentary work. Bending, lifting, and squatting, with objects weighing up to 10 lbs.

Climbing- Stairs/Steps: Daily, between activities in the facility up and downstairs. Out-of-facility activities may involve ascending and descending slopes and/or stairs.

ADA: Yes/No- Exempt individuals will provide medical verifications of physical limitations that will be placed in the “medical file” in the Personnel File.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Location: Inside/Outside - Work is predominately inside and some work out in the community. The inside facility provides protection from weather conditions and temperature changes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
