Environmental Field Technician

Employment type: Full-time
Local environmental consulting company seeking qualified applicants for entry level environmental technician position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Performs soil and groundwater-sampling duties
-Assist/direct Underground Storage Tank removals
-Records field notes to the specific task performed at each site location
-Performs general labor and construction activities
-Spill response -Operate routinely used tools and equipment
-Performs other related duties assigned by manager
-Occasionally perform physically demanding tasks
-Responsibilities may include general maintenance duties
-Operation of heavy equipment a plus.

Must be willing to drive into the office in Roanoke each day before going out to field jobs within 3 hours of the office.
