Driver
Summary:
The candidate will be proactive, able to anticipate Principals' needs and provide exceptional service in a timely manner. Privacy, discretion, and loyalty are paramount for this position. Qualified candidates pay close attention to details, possess a positive, upbeat attitude and can work independently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Providing safe, comfortable, and dignified transportation
Be ready to provide walking assistance to-and-from the vehicle for any customer who desires it
Keeping a positive attitude with your customers, interacting with them with sensitivity and patience
Keeping the vehicle clean
Maintaining confidentiality of Independence Rides customers, volunteers, and staff
Being on time for all rides
Maintaining regular communication with the Rides Coordinator about all ride situations
Abide by the standard organizational policies in the Independence Rides Driver�s Handbook
Required Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver�s license and a minimum of 2 years driving experience
Able to lift and stow a walker, and to carry packages such as grocery bags
Must be fluent in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
