"R" Little Future's Child Care is seeking a qualified Director of Child Care Services. "R" Little Future's Child Care has provided high quality care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We are seeking a professional who has prior experience in educational administration, demonstrates outstanding leadership, and has detailed knowledge of IL DCFS rules and regulations for Child Care Centers.

The Center Director will be responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the facility and promoting educational experiences that develop children’s whole personality within a caring atmosphere.

Responsibilities will include:

Leadership

Manage daily operations of the Center
Supervise all Center personnel; including hiring, training, and evaluating
Establish policies and communicate them to staff and parents
Passionately promote the center and maintain a strong understanding of childcare offerings within the community
Establish and monitor program budget; approve all expenditures
Manage and oversee state childcare and nutrition reimbursement programs
Communicate regularly with the Center Board about the general operations of the Center
Quality Assurance

Evaluate and refine programs and strategies to ensure quality childcare services
Seek out and apply for grants and other funding to assist the center in fulfilling its mission
Maintain accurate records (student, staff, & facility) in compliance with DCFS, DHS, CCC, and CACFP regulations
Ensure facilities are maintained and cleaned according to state regulations
Job Requirements:

Director qualified to IL DCFS standards
Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related (required)
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related (desired)
Two or more years of center leadership/management experience
Knowledge of State of Illinois DCFS, DHS, CCC, and CACFP regulations
Knowledge of ExceleRate Illinois quality accreditation
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Organizational, business, and financial skills
