Customer Service Representative/Sales Associate

Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for insuring that each customer has a positive experience. This involves guiding the customer through their event rental planning process, suggesting products that they will need to make their event a success, negotiating pricing, coordinating schedules, resolve any issues or complaints and provide great customer care.

This is a key role to the ACME team as you will be the face of the company and the primary contact with our customers. You must be organized, detail oriented, customer service oriented, a problem solver, self-directed, and a creative thinker.
Job Description
The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple customer rental events. He/she will develop customer quotes and reservations, educate customers on rates, and contract requirements and conditions. Assist with scheduling deliveries and pick-up of equipment using Outlook. Handle customer complaints as needed and escalate any customer issues to resolution. Instruct customers on use of equipment. Maintain and review reservation files. Advise management on rental trends, equipment needs and, inventory needs.

Ongoing activities:
• Respond to website and phone quote requests received within 8 hours
• Convert quotes to orders by following up on requests
• Educate customers on rates and contract requirements
• Meet with clients and prospective clients to determine rental needs
• Capture client and prospective client data
• Coordinate delivery and pickup including ongoing maintenance of schedule
• Instruct customers on use of equipment
• Maintain and review reservations file
• Perform onsite inspections for quotes and pricing development
• Advise management on trends or equipment needs
• Advise management on purchase and inventory needs
• Handle customer complaints as needed
• Escalate customer issues to manager when resolution is not reached
• Assist and train others in sales and administration of consumer activities
