Daily Duties Include:
Acquiring and clarifying the daily schedule and making sure you understand every aspect of every job for the day. Perform jobs in sequence as given to you in a timely manner
Instruct your crew to warm up the truck assigned to you and gather any special equipment and towable equipment to be taken. Check oil and inspect trucks and equipment for general maintenance needs
Attend weekly foreman meetings to touch base with the supervisor
Upon arrival, have a safety meeting with the crew regarding the scope of the project, related hazards, who is assigned to which job tasks, truck and equipment location, and route of debris removal and clean up
Locate the client and introduce yourself and each member of the crew explaining who the client should communicate with. Let the client know what task the crew is going to start on and ask to go over the entire project with the client. Give approximate timelines and make sure everyone is on the same page
Check to see if assigned projects are going smoothly and get involved with production
Be well-versed in pruning and removal standards
Must be able to climb, make proper cuts as according to the arboriculture best practices, and be able to remove and prune trees of all sizes
Must be able to work safely, leading a crew of 2-4 people, and run bucket
Must be able to properly rig technical trees with little to no supervision
ISA Certification preferred, CDL preferred, CTSP preferred
