Worked at my family's farm in the Hudson Valley. I had a variety of responsibilities including foraging wild mushrooms, ramps, and other wild plants, making maple syrup, watering plants in the green houses, helping plant, weed and harvest vegetables from the field. I have also worked at the farm office doing invoices and taking orders. I have worked at farmers markets in NYC, Saugerties, and Red Hook, selling vegetables. I have experience in picking up and delivering orders to restaurants. I have helped to organize the farms yearly fall harvest event-setting up tables, decorating, helping with food and drink, and welcoming guests.
HAWTHORNE VALLEY SCHOOL
I worked in the aftercare and puppet workshop in the kindergarten at the Hawthorne Valley school in Ghent, NY. Responsibilities where not limited to but included, creative playtime with the children, preparing meals and snacks with and for the children, reading to them at nap time, taking them on hikes and exploring the schools farm.
HIGH MOWING SCHOOL
I have worked in the kitchen at The High Mowing School to prepare heathy, organic and allergy conscience meals for the staff and students. I was responsible for all food prep, and cooking and cleaning up.
BLUE RIBBON FARM&ACADEMY
Responsible for taking care of the horses at the farm, training young horses, helped to run the summer camp for kids, assisted in teaching riding lessons for children, adults, and children with special needs, basic equine skills, and how to care for your horse.
WICKED SISTERS RESTAURANT
Hostess, and runner, was responsible for greeting and seating guests, running food, and clearing tables, and providing excellent customer service.Education
