Furnace Record Pressing is a full-service vinyl pressing plant based in Alexandria, VA. We make vinyl records for major labels and indies, musicians, and all who care about quality and craft. We’ve been doing this for 22 years and are dedicated to continuing to drive the industry by bringing only the best vinyl records to market. The demand for vinyl has not slowed down and we have one of our biggest jobs yet. The job will be from Monday-Friday, eight hours for the next 12-14 weeks (until beginning of September). This is a temporary job and will be paid 1099. Full time opportunities available afterward depending on job performance.
• The main job of the sleever is to visually inspect the records for visual imperfections and checks with the sleeving manager as appropriate to make sure the visual imperfection does not impact audio quality. Afterwards, they put the record into a paper sleeve. Speed and attention to detail is key to this job.
• The Assembly Tech’s main responsibility is to put together different components of a vinyl product into its final jacket. Like any assembly line job, accuracy and speed is key. In addition, communication is key, making sure the Assembly Runners are aware when components are missing so that there is not a delay in the assembling is equally as important.
• This job consists of shrink-wrapping and palletizing vinyl jobs to completion. Warehouse safety knowledge is a plus. Speed and accuracy is key to this job.
