Market Associate

We are a family business selling wild Alaskan fish and we're looking for fun people to work our Sunday farmers markets this summer!

Responsibilities:

- Sell frozen fish (salmon, halibut, sablefish, salmon burgers, etc.) to customers at a farmers market (multiple locations available)
- Learn about our products to provide exceptional customer service
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Use a digital scale to weigh the fish
- Set up and break down the farmers market booth set-up
- Maintain a clean and organized booth
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Keep accurate inventory
- Must have a drivers license and a car to take stuff to and from the market
- Smartphone to connect with a provided card reader and POS app

Experience:

- Previous experience in sales preferred but not necessary
- Must be able to learn the POS app (Square) and handle cash efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
- Ability to effectively communicate product details and benefits to customers
