What is Solly Solutions?

Solly Solutions is an upstart MSP (managed service provider) intent on doing things the right way.

We listen to our clients to understand their pain points and then provide solutions to remedy these issues.
We proactively recommend best practices for general computer use, device administration, backup platforms, cybersecurity strategies and more.
We sell hardware and software that provide the best value for our clients.
When it comes to hardware, we firmly believe in the tenet of “you buy it, you own it.” Your device should still remain active, useful and upgradeable without the need for maintenance licenses.
We support open-source platforms and encourage their integration / use when appropriate.
We are platform agnostic. Whether you’re a creative studio working with Macs, a law office working with Windows or a developer running Linux workstations, we will happily provide IT support.
We also support all major mobile platforms (iOS, iPadOS, Android) and have troubleshooting tools that will grant us visibility into these devices when necessary.

No project is too big nor too small. We’re happy to help with everything from basic software & settings issues that have you banging your head against the wall, to designing, building, deploying and managing large office environments. Notable examples of projects we’ve shepherded include:

3D VR camera platform builds & studio design
Including the engineering and building of a 20’ x 20’ ceiling grid for mounting network-controlled studio lights
Post production department buildouts including custom workstation builds, in-wall Cat6A 10Gb wiring and deploying servers with petabytes of data storage / management
Remote production studio kits shipped worldwide and used by celebrities, athletes and politicians on various programs, including the virtual table read of Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Projection mapping 6 4K projectors for an immersive gaming environment
Campus network buildouts using wired & wireless backhauls with speeds up to 10Gbps spanning distances up to ¼ mile away.

We work anywhere and everywhere. Our clients span the globe, from Indonesia to England, from New York to New Mexico, from China to California. With our various remote support tools, we can resolve IT issues regardless of where our clients may be.

Who is Solly?

Simply put, he’s a character. He takes his work seriously, but never himself.

Solly’s path to IT consulting is a meandering one. He started by taking apart computers as a child, became a weekend manager for an Apple-authorized reseller / service-provider, spent 10 years in the media / entertainment landscape managing post production facilities and projection-mapping environments and has always understood technology as a second language. His encyclopedic knowledge of machines and software is impressive, if not a tad peculiar. In November 2019, he began Solly Solutions as a one-man-shop and has grown it to include dozens of satisfied clients from various industries.

If you have an insatiable appetite for technology, a hefty amount of patience, a desire to be handy and enjoy working collaboratively in small teams, then come join Solly Solutions!
