Afterschool Instructor

Local child Enrichment Company is looking for instructors for our hands-on After School Enrichment Instructor elementary children.  Must be available between the hours of 3– 5pm.  This is a part time position and could be 1 to 5 days a week for approximately 1.5 hours per day.

No formal teaching experience required but a plus.  Classroom management is key, with ability to keep group of kids safe and on task. The perfect person would be someone with experience in the elementary school system that works with kids between 5 and 12 years old.  Have you volunteered for PTA or been a class parent?  Worked with Cub or Girl Scouts or kids church or play groups?  Are you a student teacher looking for additional income and experience or a middle or high school teacher looking for a side gig?

You must:

• like kids and have excitement in the wonder of early learning through play.
• be outgoing and a self starter that works well with others.
• have own transportation with ability to carry 25 lbs materials for classes.
• present a professional image and have ability to make presentations to adults and kids.
• be able to communicate effectively to adults and kids.
• have easygoing personality, don’t get riled by the small stuff, likes controlled chaos, have ability to shift from child to adult conversations in a flash.
• have ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs and set up class (move tables, chairs, carry program kits).
• be able to obtain a background check through the school district.

• Compensation: $75 per class (1.5hr, including set up and break down)
