Child Care Provider/Tutor responsibilities include:
* Designing and following a schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material for 2 children (5 year old with Down Syndrome & 7 year old)
* Balancing your teaching between logical, social, and outdoor exercises/activities
* Providing basic care and caregiving activities for 2 children (5 y/o w/ Down Syndrome & 7 year old)

Job brief:
We are looking for a temporary Child Care Provider/Tutor to encourage the healthy intellectual growth of the children while at home and participating in distance learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic school closures. You will teach and supervise 2 children, while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination. TYPICAL SCHEDULE WILL BE 4 DAYS/29.5 HOURS PER WEEK: MONDAYS 10 AM - 4:30 PM, TUES/WED/THURS 8 AM - 4:30 PM, OFF FRIDAY, SAT & SUN (30 min lunch Tues, Wed, Thurs)

* Design and follow a schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material for 2 children (5 & 7 years old)
* Balance your teaching between logical, social, and outdoor exercises
* Provide basic care and caregiving activities (meals, change diapers, routines)
* Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the children’s abilities
* Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning track/progressing
* Remain in constant communication with the parents and update them on the progress of the children
* Observe children’s interactions and promote positive social interactions
* Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action
* Other: Tutoring:
* Help children log on, attend online class sessions, complete assignments, practice previously taught content and new content/skills that complements online classroom instruction. Work one-on-one with children while managing other children with independent work and activities.

Desired Qualifications:
* Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
* Methodical and creative, ability to seek out and implement learning resources that match goals and curriculum
* Patience, flexibility and love for children
* Strong communication and time management skills
* Certificate in first aid and CPR, (Current preferred. Expired OK, due to COVID)
* Courses in early childhood education, not mandatory, but preferred
