Job description

We provide after school care for school-aged children in San Carlos and Belmont. The ages are TK-3rd grade. During the school year, we operate from 2:30-6:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays12:00-6:00 p.m. We also run a full day program during the summer Monday through Friday 7:30am-6:00pm.

We offer flexible hours in both our school-year and summer programs.

We are looking for Aides to help supervise, play games, lead art activities, playground games and STEAM activities. We are a play based, inclusive program. We focus on providing a safe environment and most importantly a fun time while with us.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18+ years of age with a High School diploma and some experience working with children.
• All applicants must be able to be successfully approved for a Department of Justice / fingerprint background check.
• A satisfactory pre-employment health- screening , negative TB test, proof of immunization /booster for COVID-19. Vaccinations for rubella and pertussis also required .
• Must be willing to take Mandated Reporter training. Compensation for time provided
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
• Ability to relate positively to children and adults
• PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists in maintaining a safe environment for children and staff while they are indoors and on the playground.
• Assists children in maintaining the standards of behavior
• Helps maintain classroom cleanliness throughout the day
• Attends and takes an active role in all staff meetings and training sessions

HOURS & COMPENSATION:

This is an hourly position with working hours which may vary from 12-40 hours per week.Compensation based on experience: $21to $22 per hour-based on experience .
