HIRING NATURE LED SUMMER EDUCATORS!

Instructing nature programs for children in our outdoor summer program!

Ideal candidates have the following qualities and experience:

Passionate about creating positive environments and nature based experiences for children

Passionate about building the courage, confidence and self-esteem through nature connection
Outgoing, energetic, and confident teaching, leading, facilitating outdoor skills and crafts always making safety primary

Working with and the love of children of a variety of ages, abilities, and personalities. Enjoys working with children outdoors ages 3- 5 and 5-14 and 10-17 years.

Flexible, takes direction and has initiative, and is comfortable in a fast paced, changing outdoor
Environment.

Summer Camp experience and Outdoor skills desired, such as: gardening, hiking, survival knowledge and skills with hands-on wild crafting or survival skills, tracking, mapping, hazards of the region, bird language, and local flora and fauna identification.
Summer programs are week long and begin June 5- Aug 18. Camp Time is 9-4 most days. Camp Training in May.
Park Sites: Morgan Hill, Cupertino, Felton, Woodside and San Mateo

Qualifications: Experience with nature-connection mentoring skills such as Art of Mentoring, Coyote’s Guide, Kamana Naturalist Training Program or similar outdoor earth ed, nature connection and mentoring programs preferred but not mandatory.

Applicants must have good communication skills with parents and youth, excellent organizational skills, and professionalism. Strong group management and safety skills required. Has 1st Aid/CPR certified or WFA certified or is willing to take CPR online course with our BEan CPR contact.
