I am seeking a Tax Preparation Assistant and Data Entry Professional to join my team as my very first employee! Job Title: Tax Preparation Assistant/Data Entry Lead

Location: Fully Remote after training

Compensation and career advancement:

This is another topic we can discuss and even negotiate based on your past work experience but assuming you have no relevant work experience this work is part-time and seasonal. Great for people trying to augment their income but not trying to work full-time, at least not at first. Admittedly, I start you low at $16/hr year one, but I guarantee a $4.00/hr raise each year you work with me, until you are at $32/hr then it continues to increase at $2.50/hr until $40/hr at which point we can begin to negotiate a partnership where you could become a partial owner in the business (This is after a minimum of 7 years as an employee) at which point your income is limited only by the amount of time you’re willing to work and the number of clients you can handle!

Year 1 Responsibilities:

Primarily data entry, quality control checks, and tax preparation support tasks.

Assisting in the preparation of individual tax returns.

Conduct thorough reviews of financial documents and enter the required information into my software.

Preparing client briefs.

Collaboration with myself and the rest of the company to gather necessary information for new clients.

Enter and maintain client information in our database with a high level of accuracy.

Maintaining cyber security best practices and protecting client data.

Manage and update financial records, ensuring completeness and correctness.

Perform routine audits to identify discrepancies and rectify data entry errors.

Communication:

In year one you will not be expected to engage in any client communication, but to use my training and streamlined process to inform me of client return completeness, gather required information and follow up with any inquiries related to tax documents.

Research and Compliance:

In year one you will not be expected to do research but will keep me informed of questions you may have, as well as any client needs that may require me to do research.

In future years conducting research on tax-related issues to support the decision-making process will also be a responsibility but in years one and two you can simply ask me what to do whenever you have questions

This is an entry-level position to start a career in the lucrative business of accounting. It's a great way to get your feet wet and learn some of the ins and outs of accounting, tax preparation, and tax codes that can save anyone money if they understand the tax codes.

Training:

We'll discuss this over our introduction call because I provide a 1-week training for how to do the job, but I also intend to pay you to take a tax preparation introduction course through H&R Block which I will pay you to complete, more over the course will help you get your first tax preparation certification and increase in pay! My 1-week training is a unique opportunity where I can either come to you, or you can come to me, for the 1-week training, aside from training period this position is fully remote!
