We are looking for someone to cover 2 sales shifts per week on Saturdays and Sunday. We also need someone to cover when people call-in sick or need time off.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
--Customer Interaction + Satisfaction - responsible for customer experience, including answering any questions, making recommendations, holding space, as well as facilitating transactions, properly + safely wrapping purchases and sending them home with relevant information papers.
--Team Accountability - responsible for showing up to work as scheduled, on time; trying to set fellow employees up for success with clear and honest communication, explanation of outstanding/ongoing tasks for the day, cleaning up after yourself and completing daily duties efficiently.
--Opening and Closing Duties - responsible for completing all tasks on opening, daily, and/or closing to do lists.
--General Cleaning and Tidying - responsible for basic upkeep of the shop. Wiping down glass and tables, adjusting messy displays, cleaning up spills, and cleaning up after yourself.
--Tasks and Projects - may include tagging products, hanging dreamcatchers, or other special projects around the shop.
--Snake Care - while sales associates are not ever required to handle Sutra, we are all responsible for maintaining his water dish and misting during his sheds, neither of which require direct contact.
--Phone Calls and Text Messages - responsible for answering calls and texts from customers. If subject matter requires management, pass along name and contact information with message to manager or owner.
--Schedule - responsible for communication conflicts and planned vacations as soon as possible by adding them to the time off calendar, keeping extra time off at or under 2 weeks per year. Each employee will (usually) have 2 days off per week. Schedules are usually posted one month in advance.
--Equipment - agrees to be mindful when handling all shop equipment including computer and iPad. Shop equipment is for work purposes only, do not use for personal items unless approved by owner.
--Open Communication - Sales Associates are responsible for having open and clear communication with all staff members, readers, and the owner.
Required Qualifications: Passion for spiritual realm, desire to help others, some knowledge of our products, willingness to grow and learn, strong customer service skills, ability to be on feet for long periods, ability to climb ladders, and ability to lift 50 pounds
Strongly Desired Qualifications: Strong knowledge of our products, background in herbalism, philosophy, mysticism, tarot, astrology, semi precious gemstones, understanding of feng shui
