Montgomery Whitewater is a state-of-the-art artificial whitewater park offering a unique and thrilling experience for adventure seekers and water enthusiasts. We aim to provide exceptional and memorable experiences for our guests while ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic, passionate people looking to become Whitewater Rafting Guides. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal COMMUNICATION skills, as well as a strong dedication to safety and customer service.
If you don't have any prior experience in whitewater rafting, don't worry! We offer a comprehensive Guide School designed to teach you the necessary skills for this job. Our Guide School is a 5-day, 8-hour program that equips students with the knowledge and expertise to succeed at Montgomery Whitewater. Upon completing the Guide School, there will be a check-off process to ensure you are ready for guiding. Depending on your ability and progress, this process may take anywhere from a weekend to a couple of weeks. We are committed to supporting your growth and development as a rafting guide, and we encourage individuals with a passion for the outdoors to consider this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
1. Safely guiding guests through challenging and exhilarating whitewater rapids in a controlled environment.
2. Instructing guests on proper paddling techniques and rafting maneuvers.
3. Assessing and managing risks associated with whitewater rafting in a dynamic artificial environment.
4. Performing daily equipment inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all rafting equipment.
5. Building rapport with guests, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience.
6. Collaborating with other team members to maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
