Half Moon Bay Physical Therapy is a small PT owned outpatient orthopedic clinic in the heart of Half Moon Bay. The clinic is looking to hire a PT physical therapist to join our staff. Typical patient demographics include orthopedics, post-operative rehabilitation, geriatrics and preventative care. Treatment sessions are 50 minutes and include one on one care for manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and modalities as needed. We have patients of all ages and strive to improve their physical well-being, reduce pain, and enhance functional abilities.

New grads and PTLA are welcome to apply. Mentoring is available if requested.

Patient Evaluation:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical condition, limitations, and set appropriate goals.
  • Review medical history, physician referrals, and diagnostic tests to develop a comprehensive understanding of the patient's needs.

Treatment Planning:

  • Develop individualized plan of cares based on the assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Set measurable objectives for treatment outcomes.

Treatment Implementation:

  • Administer a variety of physical therapy techniques, exercises, manual therapy and modalities to improve patients' strength, mobility, balance, and flexibility.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize patient progress.
  • Communicate to doctors regarding patients progress.

Education and Instruction:

  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and the importance of adhering to prescribed treatment plans.
  • Prescribe individualized home exercise programs and self-care strategies.

Compliance and Ethics:

  • Adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines governing physical therapy practice.

Qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is preferred.
  • State licensure as a physical therapist. PTLA will be considered for the right candidate.
  • CPR certified
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently. Mentoring is available if requested.
  • Continuous commitment to professional development and education.

Hours: Part time with a flexible schedule
