The Payroll and Team Services Specialist is responsible for all aspects of payroll processing, HRIS data management and general administration of the department for multiple states in the US. The Payroll Specialist is an expert on payroll processing, understanding tax liabilities in each state the brand does business in, and takes ownership of running key reports to track and update data.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
� Administration: Serve as contact for employees to answer questions regarding policy, benefits, and payroll.
� Onboarding: Responsible for distribution of new hire and benefits information, and assisting managers in completion of paperwork and benefits enrollment.
� HRIS Management: Enter new hire, terminations, personnel action forms and permanent changes to HRIS system. Responsible for ensuring all HRIS data is up to date.
� Payroll & Time Card Review: Responsible for processing payroll in conjunction with Accounting, cutting manual checks as needed. Also responsible for reviewing time cards for management completion and coaching /training managers and employees on the time card system.
� New Hires/Terminations / Promotions: Responsible for the timely and accurately issuance of all manual checks and terminations. Responsible for all new hire onboarding and reporting. Responsible for all promotion processing, ensuring all requirements have been met.
� Payroll Reporting: Responsible for all payroll related reporting. Including tip, supplemental Covid, and accrual calculations for all team members. Also responsible for responding to all employment verifications.
� Insurance and other Bill Auditing: Ensures accurate billing for employee benefits. Audits each bill monthly to ensure proper billing and enrollment.
� Leave of Absence Tracking: Ensures proper LOA procedures are followed and all LOA team members are tracked and appropriate benefit deductions are being received.
� Workers Compensation: Manages all administrative duties for workers compensation.
� Team Services E-Mail Management: Responsible for monitoring and distributing all team member / crew member services emails. Answers general questions and escalates urgent issues to the appropriate team member.
� Team Back Up: Back up other HR team members as needed.
� Special Projects: as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates MUST Have
� at least 1 year of multi-state payroll responsibilities
� be great at multi-tasking and prioritizing priorities
� critical thinking abilities to figure out complex issues
� excellent knowledge of Excel (including V Look Up and Pivot Tables)

Candidates Should Be
� Detail Oriented - Can make a conscious effort to understand causes instead of just the effects, asks why. Provides accurate, consistent, on time paperwork and reporting.
� Enthusiastic � Excited about working in the Human Resources field and helping people. Very approachable.
� Organized � has a task tracking method used to ensure all tasks are completed. Understands the urgency and importance of filing, scanning, and spreadsheet upkeep.
� Committed & Positive - loves the challenge; never gives up; is flexible and comfortable dealing with multiple personality types. Eager to learn.
� Computer & People Knowledgeable - Knowledge and experience in working with the Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook especially; Excellent Customer Service skills.
� Experienced - Prior restaurant or retail experience is helpful but not mandatory
� Flexible schedule on days, night and weekends
� Language Ability: Able to speak clearly and comprehend directions in English. Able to read English. Ability to read/speak Spanish is extremely helpful but not mandatory.
