Bijou Bakery is located in the beautiful beach town of Cayucos. We are a popular neighborhood bakery seeking a motivated, passionate, reliable baker to join our team!
We're gearing up for the holiday season and we have an opening for a part-time baker to join our female owned and operated bakery and cafe. (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day)
At Bijou Bakery we work together in a modern, warm and friendly atmosphere to produce a variety of quality products.
The primary goal of the opening position is to maintain high product standards that contribute to the overall guest experience and build memorable team bonds through teamwork.

Responsibilities and Duties:
-Opening baking (bake off muffins, scones, croissants, etc), ensure that all baked goods are out of the oven and the front case is completely set up prior to our doors opening at 7am
-Plan and coordinate production while maintaining consistency and product quality standards.
-Accurately measure and prepare a variety of baked goods including, but not limited to scones, muffins, popovers, cookies, lemon bars and brownies.
-Ensure all food is prepared, handled and stored according to all required food safety code standards. California food handler certification required.
-Assist FOH operations as needed by providing upscale quality service and packaging finished products with care.
-Organize and maintain cleanliness of the work-site.
-Work with a sense of urgency and meet performance demands.

- General baking experience and passion.
- Be a morning person!
- Ability to taste and evaluate products, as needed.
- Ability to operate machinery, tools, and equipment properly and safely.
- Strong attention to detail & ability to follow recipes
- Ability to communicate with team and leads.

- Ability to stand for 8 hours at a time
