Seeking part-time Occupational Therapist for sensory based gymnastics setting

Parallel Play is a sensory-based gymnastics gym located in The Stanley Marketplace, Aurora Colorado. We offer therapeutic and adapted gymnastics sessions, utilizing movement, sensory processing and therapy principles to empower children of all abilities. We value movement, empowerment, support, structure and respect. These values inform everything we do as a company and small therapy team.
Parallel Play was founded in 2015 by Rachel Lawrence. Combining the love and knowledge of gymnastics, sensory processing and movement based occupational therapy, Parallel Play opened its first sensory gymnastics gym in the fall of 2019. Parallel Play serves children ages 2-18 who have disabilities, sensory processing challenges, ADHD and more.

Our Prime Candidate
� Values movement and sensory-based therapy, has a strong understanding of sensory processing principles and is able to formulate treatment plans accordingly
� Is reliable, responsible, communicative and eager to learn and collaborate
� Is comfortable communicating with parents and caregivers, being a part of a team who serves the whole family and not just the child
� Has previous gymnastics, coaching or teaching experience
Requirements & Employment Conditions
� Masters level degree in Occupational therapy or greater
� Current DORA License in the state of CO or eligible to obtain
� NBCOT certification required
� Completed Level II Internship in Pediatrics or 1-year experience preferred
� Previous gymnastics, coaching or teaching experience preferred
� Must pass a background check and reference check
� License/certifications (all required)
o Masters level degree in Occupational therapy or greater
o DORA License in the state of CO or eligible to obtain
o NBCOT certification

Day to day expectations
As an Occupational Therapist at Parallel Play, you will have the opportunity to help every family we serve achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential by:
� Providing comprehensive pediatric services, and evaluations assessing various skills and areas of development
� Utilizing gymnastics and sports-based principles for treatment planning and sensory-focused interventions
� Assisting families with home programming and community transitions
� Completing re-evaluations, establishing and maintaining client plans of care, and making treatment recommendations that are relevant to each individual client
� Documenting daily treatment sessions and progress reports according to insurance and practice standards
� Future integration with multi-disciplinary team of OT, PT, ST, Clinical Psychologists
� Supervising one or more Certified Occupational Therapy Assistance as our team grows
� Collaborating with families and client�s care teams

Clinic Hours: Parallel Play is open Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm
� Required work days for this position: Minimum of 2 weekdays, Saturday
� On-site sessions are our main form of client contact, with some telehealth and home visits
o Work location: One location. Parallel Play sensory gym located in Stanley Marketplace at 2501 Dallas St. Aurora, CO 80010

Compensation & other benefits:
� $50 per visit with 2 hours of guaranteed administrative time ($20/hour) weekly?
� $1000 signing bonus/retention bonus
� Eligible for monthly Visit Completion bonus
� $250 annual CEU stipend
� PTO accrual according to Colorado State Law
