The open position at our Los Ranchos location (7600 4th Street NW 87107) is for a Part-Time Member Service Representative (MSR).

This position is a front line position and will work closely with our membership base. You will be responsible for basic teller functions such as, deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and reviewing statement inquiries. This position also goes beyond this and opens new accounts and Express Loans. This position is perfect for someone looking to break into the banking industry and would like to apply their skill set in discussing banking products while delivering top notch member service. We are a small credit union with two locations in the Albuquerque area and one location in Farmington, New Mexico. We are looking to hire urgently for this position.

Pay Range for this position is $13.50 to $17.00

General Summary of Position Responsibilities:

Perform routine member transactions. Including – deposits; withdrawals; cash advances; loan payments; transfers; IRA’s; and check cashing. Participate in New Account Platform and Follow-up Programs. Increase new and existing member’s product share at given opportunities.

Additional Functions

1. Answer the telephone and handle the call or transfer to the proper person.

2. Assist with member complaints and/or discrepancies.

3. Assist with mailings and marketing mailings.

4. Be able utilize time for CU efforts and to offer assistance to other departments when asked.

Job Specifications

1. Professional and well developed interpersonal skills essential for servicing Credit Union members and projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.

2. Work requires extensive knowledge of all Credit Union products and services. These characteristics are normally acquired through completion of a high school education, plus experience in the teller or member services area of a Credit Union or financial institution.

3. Basic mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).

4. Meet all regulatory requirements and meet recommendations following the BSA/AML policy compliance.
