Kennel Assistant
We are looking for a kennel assistant to care for animals and support veterinarians in our two veterinary hospitals. You’ll play an important role in bringing comfort to our furry patients and ensuring the smooth running of our facility. One of the most important kennel assistant responsibilities is to ensure all areas are clean and stocked, for animals and humans alike. Do you love cats? Then you’re halfway there. You need the ability to care for them properly – that’s one of the most important kennel assistant job requirements. This includes knowledge of routine tasks, like feeding and medicating cats, but also readiness to care for nervous or scared animals that might occasionally lash out. If you’re organized, quick on your feet and have the stomach to help with the clean-up of all pets' bodily fluids, we’d like to meet you.
Though this is an entry level position, we do most of our hiring for other clinic positions by promoting employees within the clinic. If you have the drive to advance and are great at your job, we'd love to train you for advancement. Kennel assistants will work in both our Meridian and our Boise vet hospitals as needed.
