Innkeeper
Hi there!
Qupqugiaq Inn is a small, independent, lovely midtown Inn. We are looking for an innkeeper/manager that can cover night shifts and weekends.
First, the pay
(after all, this is what you probably care the most about ????)
The night shift is 6pm to 11pm or midnight and pays $16/hour.
The weekend shift goes from 10am to 6pm and pays $20/hour.
If you cant cover every shift, no prob! just let me know.
Responsibilities
Once in place, you’ll be responsible for running the hotel while the managers are at home. That means you will have a number of tasks: process check-ins, help guests, supervise the cleaning crew (during the weekends) and some other stuff. Don´t worry, its not that hard and we´ll train you and help you.
Why should you care about this job?
During the winter time we have almost exclusively weekly guests, this means the work load is minimum and you´ll have lots of time to study if you are in college.
Its also a job that will look great on your CV…It will say “manager”.
You will always have support to help you out when needed (don’t worry!) and, of course, we´ll train you.
Even during the summer, which is our busy season, it’s a pretty low stress job.
Our two current managers are around 55 years old. If you are on this age range, we would also love to meet you.
It’s a year-round position.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a responsible person who shows up on time, has a good attitude to help guests and a professional appearance at all times. Also, no drugs or alcohol at the hotel, EVER.
