HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Guest Ambassador is committed to the department mission and vision of providing the finest customer service to each guest who enters the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park by actively engaging in meaningful guest encounters. The Guest Ambassador performs a variety of duties providing assistance to the organization visitors. This position reports to the Guest Ambassador Lead, Supervisor or Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Operates turnstiles as assigned
Takes tickets and checks member identification in various locations - turnstiles, special attractions, etc.
Records various categories of admissions and conducts periodic count readings using point-of-sales automated systems.
Maintains proper count of visitors at various locations throughout assigned location (Zoo or Safari Park)
Refers visitors and members to Guest Services/Duty Manager if there are discrepancies in tickets, memberships, or identification.
Responds to visitors inquiries and complaints as appropriate.
Greets visitors and provides directions and other general information
Maintains crowd control
Places directional and informational signs in specified locations
Assists with parking lot operations as needed
Operates rides and takes tickets
Acts as an usher at various shows
Adheres to all SDZG and department policies and practices
Practices SDZG Customer Service Standards

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
San Diego Zoo Global is seeking an individual who is inspired to be a part of an organization that is committed to protecting wildlife around the globe Applicants must be 18 years of age. Ability to stand for long periods and walk multiple miles in a shift. A valid California driver license is preferred. A team member who provides exceptional hospitality to guests and team members. Individuals with bilingual skills are highly desirable. Applicants must have at least four (4) full days of availability, with two of the days being Saturday and Sunday.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

California driver license
