Dance Instructor
Shifts/Availability: Monday through Friday 4pm -7:30pm
The Gateway Family YMCA provides a fun, learning and safe working environment. We offer health and fitness, aquatics, membership, child care centers, and day camps in Elizabeth, Rahway, and Union. Housing and social services are also offered at our Elizabeth Branch and The Dudley House in Plainfield. WISE Adult Social Day Services is offered in Union. Our YMCA provides many opportunities for employment in either a full-time or part-time capacity – year round or seasonal
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and lead youth activities for all participants
Lead with enthusiasm and positively motivate program participants
Maintain a clean and risk-free environment
Communicate positively and accurately with all the parents/guardians of participants
Promote other YMCA programs with participants and parents/guardians
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Prior knowledge and minimum 1-year experience in teaching dance or instructing dance programs for youth.
