We are hiring Bartenders for the Grand Opening of Detroit Pizza Pub! Experience is preferred but not necessary. WE WILL TRAIN those with the right attitude!
Compensation: $10/hr training wage. $5/hr plus tips once training completed. Scheduling for this position is performance based. The best shifts will go to those who maximize sales, and give the best guest service, get 5 star reviews, and build regulars. This is a place for hustlers to make great money!
Requirements: 18+ Only. A Solid Work Ethic is Required. Teamwork is non-negotiable. This is an establishment where everything is everyone's responsibility. Experience bartending is great, but we will train those without experience if you have an outstanding attitude. Must be Sales Driven and Guest Focused. RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION IS A NON NEGOTIABLE. The venue offers two distinctly different floors with designs that take inspiration from Northern Italian Football Pubs. Upstairs provides a lighter more airy feel that resembles the alleys in Florence, Italy featuring Edison-style alley lighting, pastel paint, a reserve wine cellar, artwork that features Detroit automotive history, and an open concept kitchen. Step through the wall in the London-inspired telephone booth and be transported into the basement which is designed to be a sports speakeasy. With 25 4k HD TVs, surround sound playing during every major Collegiate/Professional Football, Soccer, Rugby, Baseball, Basketball Game, and Golf Tournament. The basement also features Michigan Lottery, Comfortable leather seating and views from all angles, and 60 taps filled with every beer your heart could desire. Detroit Pizza Pub Specializes in groups of all sizes and also has a small patio for outdoor dining.
Detroit Style Pizza originated in the factories of the Detroit automotive companies during the boom of the Industrial Revolution. Factory workers on the assembly lines and steel plants in and around the Detroit area often had 10x8 and 10x14 Blue Steel Tool Pans at every station to house their working tools needed for the specific section of the assembly line. Wanting a taste of home the migrant Italian workers inventively used their unused tool pans to lay out dough and toppings brought from home and used the heat of the giant steel ovens to bake their pizza. This process created a deeper pan pizza, square in shape with a crispy buttery crust and a caramelized cheese you could only get by using the local high fat brick cheese commonly found in the midwest.
