Nowhere Bakery is a high end allergen-friendly dessert company, that is breaking the stigma that healthier treats need to taste like cardboard. We have a cult following are known to have the best chocolate chip cookie out there. Our iconic pink bakery boxes are creating buzz, and we need more staff to increase production.
We offer nationwide shipping via our E-Commerce store and provide our cookies to wholesale accounts around California.
The role entails preparing different types of cookies, brownies, and specialty items in our vegan, gluten-free ghost kitchen located in Costa Mesa.
Responsibilities include scooping cookie dough, loading trays in and out of ovens, preparing fillings, dipping cookies in chocolate, cutting brownies, packing orders into boxes, and assisting in preparing shipping at the end of the day. To be successful in this role, you should have some experience in a kitchen, be reliable, on time, and a focused, fast and efficient worker.
We are a new but fast-growing company, there is an opportunity for growth within. Must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. 5am, 6am or 11am shift starts - hours vary each day but are often 8-10 hour days.
Responsibilities
Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
Bake different types of cookies, brownies and raw desserts.
Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cookies.
Pack individual items into boxes for customers orders
Skills
Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders
Understanding of food safety practices
Excellent time-management skills
Ability to multi-task
Efficient
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
Team spirit, with a positive, can-do attitude
Flexibility to work early morning shifts
Certification from a culinary school is a plus but not required.
