Sun Country Sports Center is now accepting applications for energetic, caring, dedicated Afterschool Counselors! Experience in a licensed DCF facility, or previous DCF training preferred. Experience working with children required. Must have an outgoing personality and must love working with children. Must be available to work school holiday breaks and summer.

Hours will be part-time and available shifts are 1:00 - 6:30 pm Monday - Friday (12:00 - 6:30 pm on Wednesdays). Opportunities may exist for additional hours in other departments depending on skills and qualifications.

Counselor job duties involve leading activities with school-age children (ages 5 - 12) in our 40,000 sq. ft. Jonesville facility. All activity training is provided, and counselors will lead activities such as basic gymnastics skills, group games, free swimming, rock-climbing, board games, homework assistance, etc. Sun Country pays for 50% of required DCF training, and conducts level 2 background screening on all employees pursuant to Florida Statutes.

We are a multi-program family/youth sports center whose mission is for every person to feel better about themselves when they walk out of our doors than they do when they walk in.

COVID-19 Considerations: Masks required, daily screening for employees and participants, reduced ratios, physical distancing and continual disinfection measures in place.
