Michigan Polymer Reclaim, Inc. is a regional leader in the business of recycling plastics. We operate a full-service industrial facility in St. Johns, MI with granulation, washing and extrusion manufacturing equipment lines that turn plastic scrap into valuable plastic resin. Every day we do our part to save Planet Earth. This is a summer intern position that works 7:00a to 1:30p Monday thru Friday and works directly with the President of the company. For the right student, this will be great exposure to all aspects of running a small business.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
� Provide daily support to operations and plan the most efficient administrative procedures with the goal of ensuring all support activities are carried on efficiently and effectively
� Support the accounting function through entry and record-keeping
� Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes
� Assist in the recruitment and training of personnel
� Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations
� Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints
� Complete special projects by organizing and coordinating information and requirements, planning, arranging, and facilitating meeting schedules and then monitoring results
� Provide historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems

ELIGIBILITY / PHYSICAL ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
� Possession of a valid Driver�s License
� Must be eligible to work in the U.S.A.
� Must be able to sit for long periods of time and able to lift up to 30 lbs.
� Must be open to possibly working additional hours if requested


OUR IDEAL PERSON WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE
� A solid business student evidenced by grade performance
� Coursework completed including some management, accounting and finance
� Some understanding of office management procedures and some legal policies pertaining to employment
� Proficient in MS Office applications
� QuickBooks experience a plus
� An analytical mind with logical thinking and problem-solving skills
� Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
� A team player with leadership skills
� Driven by the principles of proactivity, synergy, honesty and effective communication
� Goal oriented � both professionally and personally
� Preference for working independently with minimal supervision

COMPENSATION
� Very competitive compensation at $17/hr.
