Social Media & Marketing Internship

Michaels HR Consulting, is looking for a Social Media & Marketing Intern to assist its CEO/Founder to help create and post relative content on various social media platforms, to increase brand awareness, increase traffic to company’s website, and manage online brand reputation through their work.

The ideal intern is creative, motivated, and has strong knowledge and command of social media channels specifically, LinkedIn and Instagram. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across a wide array of HR genres and responsibilities - from HR creatives & brand strategies to HR specific content creation and communication.

What you’ll love to do by working with us:

Support the company’s social media corporate channels: LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
You will contribute to increasing brand awareness and manage brand reputation, increase traffic to the company’s website, improving engagement, and generating leads
You will work closely with the CEO and other interns to develop creative campaigns, relevant hashtags, and social media sentiment that will increase engagement
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly social media channel postings, monitoring, auditing and reporting
Align work with content strategy, pillars (educational content, inspirational/motivational; entertaining, sales/promotional), schedule and calendar
Collaborate with CEO on various engagement strategies by responding to comments, answering direct messages, and sourcing applicable industry leaders and influencers
Ability to provide benchmarking insights and measurement of progress in order to provide and recommendations as it relates to next steps

What your blueprint should look:

You are currently enrolled in a higher education program that is preferably linked to marketing, design, communication, or media
Interest in Human Resource is ideal but not required
Hands on practical experience with managing social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram)
Must be available to complete online work per the content calendar
You have a solid understanding of digital media landscape and how content is published and distributed
Experience with and capable of setting the voice, tone, look, and feel of content with your words and posts
Remote role but must be local to NYC/NJ area for occasional in-person meetings
2 hours day/3 days a week/days are flexible
