Fired up by activism? Can your own lived experience animate discussion of the most pressing issues that we face today? Do you believe that social media can drive impact? Does change start at home, locally? Do you believe allyship means elevating voices of color?
Rabble is building the next-generation media and social movement platform for Generation Participation. We are focused on solutions and coalition-building, so if strange bedfellows and uncommon alliances get you excited and you want to shine a light on how everyday, commonplace interactions can be acts of solidarity and community builders, then there’s a place for you at Rabble.
Rabble is looking for qualified interns with a strong interest in local action, activities, and activism on issues that affect the community—large and small. We're looking for a social media lover who's passionate about advancing conversations on hot-button political and social issues.
*BONUS POINTS: You’re from a state or city not already represented on our team! We encourage applicants from Atlanta, Detroit, Oakland, Minneapolis, Raleigh, Gary, St. Louis.
THE GIG (ALL REMOTE):
Attend 2 social team meetings per week (1 hour each) plus additional smaller team meetings as necessary.
Research and create content, as assigned.
Have proven social accounts with impressive following or have worked for others responsible for high follower count; or have strong research skills
Research and pitch ideas on social justice and climate activism for our social media channels
Stay up-to-date on trends, problems, and resolutions concerning Rabble's core passions Meet deadlines
Consider diverse perspectives, and share your own lived social-justice experiences
Be driven and energetic - you love to voice your opinions and listen, collaborate and find solutions
Know the pulse of pop culture Know how to be brave and provocative, without being rude, offensive, or alienating
Voraciously consume social media, and make fresh, meaningly connections on recurring themes
Embrace 'good trouble'
Be comfortable pivoting quickly to a fresh approach Be willing to learn and take direction from editorial leads
