This Psychology internship will give exposure and involvement to various aspects of a psychology practice. In addition to helping with office paperwork, intern will be trained to use some forms of neurofeedback (a type of biofeedback), which involves learning about which parts of the brain affect various psychological disorders.
Intern will learn how to attach electrodes to the patient's head and help them use computer equipment that improves cognitive and behavioral functioning. In addition, intern will help keep track of client progress and assist in writing notes. Intern will also have access to staff to ask questions about their experiences in the field. Paperwork, insurance calls, scheduling, filing, minor office related errands and other office work included as well.

This position is an unpaid internship that requires 16 hours/week spread over 2-3 days/week. Sunday availability strongly preferred. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOUR AVAILABILITY/SCHEDULE DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO WORK THESE HOURS!
Applicant must be willing to commit to an 8 month internship; however, days and hours can be changed to better accommodate your schedule for the next semester if necessary.
Candidates should be professional, friendly and have good interpersonal skills. Reliability and responsibility is a must!
Please note: This internship DOES NOT meet requirements for clinical hours or clinical supervision needed for state licensure or degree requirements (e.g. LAC, LPC, PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LSW, etc). However many applicants often get college internship credit.
Associate or equivalent of 2 yrs college experience
Interpersonal or Customer Service of some type
Personal protective equipment provided or required
