Personal Trust Intern - Spring / Summer 2023


Provides day-to-day administrative support for Capital First Trust Company’s team of trust professionals while gaining an understanding of the organization and the industry.


Role Responsibilities

Assist Trust Officers and Trust Administrators with various administrative tasks and projects including, but not limited to:
Assist with recurring Trustee Fee analysis
Perform tasks related to annual Trust Account Reviews
Data entry projects
Shadow various professionals and sit in on department meetings
Filing and archiving for the trust department, including electronic filing.
Conduct clerical duties; faxing, scanning, data entry, sorting and delivering incoming mail, assist with outgoing mail and shipments.
Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate individuals as a back-up to the front desk receptionist.
Participate in all training opportunities as presented.
Meet with a committed manager on an individual basis at least once a week.

Computer/Technical Skills/Subject Matter Expertise

Prior knowledge of general office equipment such as a computer, fax, photocopier, scanner, telephone preferred, but not required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
Ability to understand/learn basic fiduciary and trust administration concepts.
Able to understand and follow company policies regarding information security including password, multi-factor authentication, and remote access use.

Demonstrate basic knowledge of the business and the Company.

Able to identify common attempts at information security scams, like email phishing.

Role Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Recent graduates are also welcome.
Must have completed sophomore year, preference will be given to those closer to graduation.
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Ability to acquire knowledge of the Trust Administration business.
Must be available minimum of 36 hours a week for a duration of 10-12 weeks.
Courteous and positive attitude.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Pre-employment background check required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
