Job Summary

Erie Mill & Press Co., Inc. is seeking a mechanical design engineer to aid in the manufacturing of rubber mills and compression presses. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of tasks including the design of new products, drafting, and project management. The successful candidate will work in a multi-discipline team environment with the opportunity to grow with the team and with the company.

Design Engineer Responsibilities

• Assists with static, dynamic design, and analysis of mechanical components.
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of components.
• Create bill of materials and quote components for projects.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure projects are running smoothly. 
• Has a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, mechanics, hydraulics and electrical Experience / Qualifications

Requirements

• A university degree of related engineering and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree)
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
