The Pacific Forest Trust’s (PFT’s) A Risk Assessment of California’s Key Source Watershed Infrastructure is an analysis of watershed conditions as well as restoration and conservation needs in California’s primary source watersheds. We are now updating and expanding that Risk Assessment and seeking an intern to assist with that update.
Specific responsibilities of the internship will include:
• Update and refresh data inputs to obtain results that are consistent with contemporary practices and knowledge.
• Research on current costs of watershed restoration, recent (2018-2021) fire impacts and suppression costs, and assessment of recently advanced (2018-2021) relevant state and federal programs, regulations, and legislation.
The intern will be expected to work 15-20 hours per week and will receive a fixed stipend of $1,500 per month.
The intern will report to the PFT Policy Associate and be under the general direction of the PFT President. Work will be performed in PFT’s San Francisco office unless otherwise agreed.
