Our mission at Uptown Stories is to inspire young people to discover and develop their inner voice within a diverse community of writers. We help our students understand that they have the ability and autonomy to tell their own stories, and we equip them with the skills to do so. Uptown Stories’ teachers are professional working writers and artists who bring content expertise as well as a passion for working with young writers. The energy that our staff brings to their work is contagious; our students are excited to come to class each day and genuinely enjoy the experience.
We are looking for rock-star interns to help support our development, optimize our marketing, improve our reporting capabilities, and support our young writers. As a small staff, everyone wears multiple hats, but it's important to us that our interns are working on projects and learning skills that interest and inspire them. We have a variety of opportunities and ongoing projects available for our interns to work on, so whether you like working with data, editing and proofreading works of writing, or just like crossing things off your to-do-list, we have a job for you!
This is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to contribute across an entire organization and inspire our young writers!
Hours: 12 hour a week, Monday to Friday
