Eight Black, an independently owned global ground transportation company is looking for an energetic and self-motivated advertising and marketing intern. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in advertising and marketing, then we want to work with you. The successful candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of advertising and marketing techniques and social media platforms.
INTERNSHIP INFORMATION
Reports to: Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO)
Scheduling: Monday to Friday, approx. hours 9am-4pm
Internship Dates: 6-8 weeks (specific dates to be determined with successful candidate in months of May, June and July)
Location: Longmont Office
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or doctorate program in advertising, public relations, marketing or a similar degree program
Maintain a professional and positive attitude and appearance
Exhibit strong organizational, time management and detail-oriented skills
Possess a willingness to learn and embrace a personal marketing approach
Ability to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people
Exercise strong customer service skills and a sincere desire to assist customers
Must have intermediate computer knowledge
Have a solid grasp of social media marketing
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support marketing campaign planning and execution
Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral
Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels
Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions
Assist in the management of website SEO
Take part in formal and informal training opportunities
Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives
Monitor and manage the company’s social media platforms, adjusting outreach tactics as needed
Other duties as assigned by CIO and/or Executive Leadership Team

Classification: W2 Internship Employee
Salary: $500 per week
HIRING PROCESS
Applications will be screened on an ongoing basis. First round screening interviews will be conducted digitally via Google Meet. Second round interviews will be conducted in person in mid-April with the successful candidate chosen by April 21.
