Communicate & Connect Therapy, LLC. is a growing speech-language pathology private practice located on the north side of Chicago. We are an SLP owned and operated company, providing a range of assessment and therapy services for primarily school-age clients in the clinic, home, and school settings in Chicago and the northern suburbs, and virtually to clients outside of our geographic area. Communicate & Connect Therapy, LLC. has a strong focus on evidence-based practices in speech, language, and literacy and is the only certified SPELL-Links to Reading & Writing™ clinic in Chicago.

 

We are currently seeking an exceptional speech-language pathologist for either a part-time or full-time position starting in the fall or winter of 2023. The SLP will be required to conduct assessments and treatment, as well as participate in caseload building and program development activities. Hours are flexible, however, at least 19 hours of after school availability (3:00-7:30pm) and/or weekends is required for full-time employment.

 

We will consider candidates seeking part-time employment who have at least 10 hours of after school and/or weekend availability.

The ideal speech-language pathologist candidate will meet the following qualifications:

· MS or MA in speech-language pathology;

· Active IL state SLP license;

· Prior experience with school age populations (articulation, language, literacy, social skills, etc.) is preferred but not required;

· Willingness to participate in caseload building and program development activities;

· Strong interest in literacy and desire to participate in literacy training;

· Willingness to travel between locations with personal transportation;

· Availability to work with clients in the evening; weekend availability is optional;

· Soft skills, including being energetic, hard working, highly motivated and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Speech-language pathology clinical fellows who have a strong pediatric background and are eligible to apply for the state licensure will be considered.
